Abstract

Software testing is one of the crucial processes in software development life cycle which will influence the software quality. One of the strategies to help testing process is predicting the part or module of software which is prone to defect. Then, the testing process can be more focused to those parts. In this research a classifier model for predicting software defect was built. One of the most important problems in software defect prediction is imbalance data distribution between samples of positive class (prone to defect) and of negative class. Therefore, in this research SMOTE is implemented to handle imbalance data problem and extreme learning machine is implemented as a classification algorithm. As a comparison to SMOTE-ELM, a modification of ELM which directly copes with imbalance problem, weighted-ELM, is also observed. This research used NASA MDP dataset PC1, PC2, PC3 and PC4. The results of experiment using 10-fold cross validation show that directly classification using ELM obtain the worse result compared to SMOTE-ELM and weighted-ELM. When the value of imbalance ratio is not very small, the SMOTE-ELM is better than weighted-ELM. When the value of imbalance ratio is very small, the g-mean of weighted-ELM is higher than the g-mean of SMOTE-ELM, but the accuracy of weighted-ELM is lower than the accuracy of SMOTE-ELM. Therefore, in this software defect prediction case it can be concluded that SMOTE is effective to increase the generalization performance of classifier in minority class as long as the value of imbalance ratio is not very small.

Abstract

Behind Bitcoin’s, there is a technology that becomes its fundamental part, which is Blockchain. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world. At present, blockchain technology is the subject of discussion and research among developers, business people and researchers. Basically, blockchain technology functions as a digital 'ledger' that records every transaction that occurs and what makes blockchain interesting is, data that has been recorded in it cannot be changed. Furthermore, various blockchain-based applications began to emerge, and are used in various fields, the first to implements blockchain technology is digital currency transactions, other fields, such as the Internet of Things, government, health services, education, and industries. However, like other emerging technologies, blockchain technology still faces several challenges such as scalability and security. To deepen the knowledge about blockchain technology, a literature study is needed using the Literature Review method. This research uses literature sources from Scopus reputable institutions, Thomson Reuters / Web of Science, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), EBSCO, and Google Scholar. The contribution of this paper is to convey how Blockchain technology works, the applications and challenges ahead that will be faced by blockchain technology.

Abstract

Rice plant which is a source of food for the people, it needs enough temperature, air humidity and high water for maximum growth. The irrigation system is a major requirement in the field of agriculture, especially for rice plant. Some constraints in conventional irrigation, so they need irrigation system automatically. Some previous studies about automatic irrigation were only used one or two parameters and only used fuzzy or IoT. The method offered in this study uses fuzzy logic using 3 inputs and combines the monitoring system in real time based on IoT. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of fuzzy logic using three inputs to control the automatic irrigation system byreal time monitoring usingIoT. Data obtained by testing in themorning, afternoon, evening, night and using heat and rain treatment then compared using Matlab calculation. From the tool testing, the average precision of the tool comparison using the calculation is 77.13%.

Abstract

Telemetry systems have been widely used in industrial machines to continuously monitor movement and data from industrial machinery. However, obstacles occured in areas that have not been reached by cellular or internet signals such as mining areas and oil palm plantations. One machine that requires continuous attention is the Genset engine or power plant. Howevwr, the officers had to be placedon that site or are not effectively. Therefore it is necessary to make remote monitoring and control to determine the condition of the generator, especially the generator temperature, because of the temperature indicator can be known the performance and efficiency of the generator. The information of generator indicates the performance of generator, such as temperature and fuel comsumtion. A monotoring should done remotaly wheneverrural areas are further away from the head master offices. Real time monitoring proposed where able to change and control generator. FM transceiver used to addressing the limitation of protocil communication or rural areas since the GSM signals and internet are not coveraged that areas. Half duplex protocol communication is proposed to manage data exchange between Tx and Rx. The result show that protocol work performing during data transmision in simulation mode, however data lossed at 515 meters due to small power trancmitter is used.

Abstract

Indonesian government set the target for new and renewable energy (NRE) is expected to be 23% in 2025 and 31% in 2050, where in 2017, NRE was only 12,5%. Building a new and renewable energy project is the easy part. Keeping the generator working over time, however, is a complex business that requires money, training and innovative thinking. One of essential parameters that can help in achieving a successful sustainable project is community involvement. If the community feels a strong sense of ownership, they'll see their generator as a critical asset to everyone and take good care of it collectively. Training and educating the community about how to take care of the generator after the project construction has completed becomes important. Considering Indonesia’s geographical location, e-learning might be a potential tool to reduce training and education cost in new and renewable project. This study aims to identify whether e-learning is an effective and efficient method to deliver training material and educate local people which will improve renewable energy project’s sustainability in Indonesia.

Abstract

Standard wimax have 2 versions : IEEE 802.16-2004 and IEEE 802.16d. this comprehension also supported by Orthogonal Frequency Division ultiplexing  on Physical Layer. OFDm provide wireless DSL technology where broadband cable is not available. Wimax 802.16e use Standard OFDMA Technic. It provide the support for nomadic and mobility service also known as WiMAX phone. Wimax is a wireless broadband technology that have an improvement on WI - FI and UMTS. One of the devices that is needed in the technology is the antenna. The technique used is the MIMO technique. MIMO technique uses multiantene or more than one antenna from both the transmitter and receiver sides. The design and realization of the antenna in this paper is used for 5G devices in the future that work at a frequency of 5.4 GHz - 5.6 GHz. Antenna simulation shows that the planned working frequency is between 5.4 GHz to 5.6 GHz, has a Return Loss of -20.007 dB, VSWR ≤ 2, which is 1.2216, 414 MHz bandwidth, gain of 3.898 dB, impedance of 50.00 Ohm, Omnidirectional radiation pattern. From the design and analysis, this antenna can be used as a 5G technology antenna for the future.

Abstract

Drowsiness that felt by the driver will affect the security of someone when driving. It can be seen that many accidents cause death due to drowsiness when driving. Due to the effects of fatigue after some busy activities and the responsibility to keep going home. However, this is not supported by the motorist's awareness of not continuing the journey and resting for a while until the physical condition returns to normal. So to reduce the number of accidents that occurred needed a capable tool of detecting sleepiness through the state's heartbeat using a heartbeat sensor (XD-58C) to the rider who can awaken directly by using vibration motors and buzzer, and if an emergency occurs, namely when the driver crashed, the tool will send point location via SMS to the families, hospitals and police stations using GSM module SIM800L, point locations that are read by an integrated GPS module with microcontroller arduino during an accident that can be used by the driver.
